At a meeting on 12 June, WTO members exchanged views on ways to reinvigorate work under the Council for Trade in Services in special session, the body responsible for negotiations on improving members’ schedules of commitments under the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS). The Chair, Ambassador Adamu Mohammed Abdulhamid of Nigeria, reported on the outcomes of his recent consultations with members, highlighting the importance of revitalizing work in line with the Ministerial Declaration adopted at the 13th Ministerial Conference (MC13).
