Mumbai, Apr 8 (KNN) Welspun One Logistics Parks (Welspun One) on Sunday announced the financial closure of its flagship logistics park project at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), backed by Rs 2,300 crore in construction financing underwritten by the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (Nabfid).

Spanning 55 acres, the upcoming facility marks Welspun One’s largest logistics development in India.

Strategically located within the JNPA Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Navi Mumbai, the state-of-the-art Grade A industrial and warehousing complex will serve a range of sectors including e-commerce, third-party logistics (3PL), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and manufacturing.

With a total development potential exceeding 3.6 million square feet, the project is expected to significantly enhance India’s logistics infrastructure, catering to growing demand in the western corridor.

Anshul Singhal, Co-founder and Managing Director of Welspun One, described the milestone as a defining moment. “The financial closure of our JNPA project marks a pivotal step in our journey to create world-class logistics and industrial infrastructure,” he said.

Rajkiran Rai, Managing Director of Nabfid, emphasised the broader economic significance of the project. “We are delighted to partner with Welspun One’s Logistics Park in JNPA.

State-of-the-art facilities like this are aligned with the government’s vision to reduce logistics costs to the global average of 8 per cent of GDP, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Indian industry,” he said.

The development is expected to boost regional employment, drive economic activity, and support the government’s push for modern, efficient logistics networks across India.
