Hyderabad, May 27 (KNN) Hon’ble Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Jitan Ram Manjhi, inaugurated the newly constructed Hostel Block C at the National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme) campus.
The new facility adds 10 additional rooms to support residential needs of trainees participating in various capacity-building programs.
As part of his visit, the Minister also inaugurated a two-day exhibition at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, showcasing the achievements of beneficiaries under the National SC-ST Hub, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), and PM Vishwakarma scheme.
These exhibitions aim to highlight the success stories and innovations by entrepreneurs from marginalised communities, promoting inclusive growth in the MSME sector.
In addition, Shri Manjhi launched a Special Vendor Development Programme (VDP) under the National SC-ST Hub. The event brought together representatives from five Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), with whom the Minister held interactive discussions.
He encouraged CPSEs to meet the government-mandated procurement targets from SC-ST entrepreneurs under the Public Procurement Policy (PPP).
The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to empowering MSMEs, especially those from marginalized backgrounds, by improving access to infrastructure, markets, and financial resources.
The initiatives inaugurated today reflect the Ministry’s continuous efforts to foster inclusive entrepreneurship and ensure equitable development through the MSME sector.
