Union Bank Nari Shakti Initiative Funds 351 Beneficiaries With Rs 476 Cr Loans In Hoskote

Karnataka, Mar 4 (KNN) Union Bank of India organised a Mega MSME Outreach Campaign in Hoskote on Monday, focusing on promoting entrepreneurship and providing support to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the region. 

The event attracted participation from various branches under the Bengaluru Region that cater to the MSME segment, along with MSME customers.

The outreach campaign was designed to raise awareness about government schemes and foster economic growth in the region through targeted financial assistance. 

During the camp, the bank sanctioned collateral-free loans under the Union MSE Support program and provided specialised MSME loans to women entrepreneurs through the Union Nari Shakti initiative. 

Additionally, loans were extended to Self-Help Groups alongside other government-sponsored schemes including PMMY, PM Vishwakarma, and PMJDY.

The event also facilitated the opening of Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana accounts and retail Current Account and Savings Account (CASA) deposits. 

A significant outcome of the campaign was the distribution of sanction letters to beneficiaries, covering 351 accounts with a total financing amount of Rs 476.00 crore.

The Mega MSME Outreach Camp was inaugurated by A. Manimekhalai, Managing Director and CEO of Union Bank of India. 

The event was further distinguished by the presence of Nitesh K. Patil, IAS, Director of MSME, and Dr. K. Socrates, Joint Director of MSME from the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of India, who attended as guests of honour.
