Pune, May 8 (KINN) Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has inaugurated the Symbiosis Artificial Intelligence Institute (SAII), marking a significant milestone as India’s first dedicated AI-focused educational institution.
This initiative aims to integrate cutting-edge artificial intelligence into academic programs and research, preparing students to lead in a technology-driven world.
SAII offers specialized programs in AI and related fields, including machine learning, data science, robotics, and neural networks.
The institute introduces innovative undergraduate degrees such as B.Sc. (Artificial Intelligence) Honours/Honours with Research and B.B.A. (Artificial Intelligence) Honours/Honours with Research.
These programs are open to students from all streams—Science, Commerce, and Arts—emphasizing application-oriented learning across sectors like health sciences, agriculture, cybersecurity, data science, and sports sciences.
A distinctive feature of SAII’s curriculum is the flexibility it offers students to combine majors and minors across programs. For instance, a B.Sc. student majoring in Health Sciences AI can choose a FinTech minor from the B.B.A. stream, fostering interdisciplinary expertise.
The programs follow a “three-year core plus optional fourth-year Honours or Honours-with-Research” model, enabling seamless progression from foundational principles to advanced specializations.
Students will have access to SAII’s state-of-the-art AI super-lab, equipped with high-performance GPUs, an extended-reality studio, and a data-visualization arena, facilitating hands-on learning with advanced AI technologies.
