Sonata Software secures $73 million AI-led modernisation deal with US TMT company

Sonata Software announced today that it has secured a five-year contract worth $73 million with a leading US-based Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) company. The deal, announced today, represents the second-largest agreement in the company’s history.

The shares of Sonata Software Ltd were trading at ₹355.10 up by ₹17.20 or 5.09 per cent on the NSE today at 12.15 pm.

Under the terms of the contract, Sonata will establish a dedicated AI-enabled Modernization Engineering Center in India. The centre will focus on platform engineering, cloud transformation using Amazon Cloud, enterprise systems including Salesforce and Workday, cybersecurity, data services, and modern application development.

“This is the second-largest deal in Sonata’s history — and a proud milestone for Team Sonata,” said Samir Dhir, Managing Director and CEO of Sonata Software. The partnership aims to enhance the client’s global scalability, accelerate innovation, and optimise IT operations.

Sonata Software, which reports $1 billion in revenue, positions itself as one of the leading modernization company with a focus on AI-first transformation. The company’s approach incorporates services across data, cloud, automation, cybersecurity, and newer technologies like Generative AI and Microsoft Fabric.

The Bengaluru-headquartered company has a global presence across North America, UK, Europe, APAC, and ANZ regions. Sonata maintains partnerships with technology leaders including Microsoft and AWS, and serves clients across banking, healthcare, telecom, retail, and manufacturing sectors.
