Plastics Dialogue midpoint review charts path towards MC14

At a meeting on 9 April, WTO members participating in the Dialogue on Plastics Pollution and Environmentally Sustainable Plastics Trade (DPP) reviewed progress across the eight focus areas outlined in their 2025 workplan. They also discussed next steps in the lead-up to the 14th Ministerial Conference (MC14) to take place in March 2026. Participants also reflected on key takeaways from the first region-focused workshop held the day before, which highlighted the unique challenges and opportunities facing Africa in addressing plastics pollution. Members welcomed Guatemala as the 83rd co-sponsor of the Dialogue.
