New Delhi, April 3 (KNN) Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will inaugurate the second edition of Startup Mahakumbh, scheduled to take place at Bharat Mandapam from April 3-5, 2025.
The event aims to contribute to India’s economic growth and showcase the nation’s entrepreneurial developments on a global stage.
Minister of State, Commerce & Industry and Electronics & Information Technology, Jitin Prasada, will deliver a special address during the inaugural ceremony.
The event’s scale and diversity of participants will provide a platform for entrepreneurs, investors, and thought leaders to collaborate, exchange ideas, and establish meaningful connections.
With an emphasis on innovation and collaboration, Startup Mahakumbh intends to establish a foundation for future entrepreneurial success.
This year’s edition will feature tribal entrepreneurs with participation from over 45 startups, including those incubated at prestigious institutions such as IIM Calcutta, IIM Kashipur, and IIT Bhilai.
Joint Secretary of DPIIT, Sanjiv, described the event as a true “sangam” of startup and industry “MahaRathis” from across Indian districts and the world, characterised as “Jile se Jagat tak.”
With representation from numerous Indian districts and 50 countries, the event will facilitate connections and collaborations.
Highlights will include an India-made flying taxi on display, a Korean pavilion featuring 11 startups, and Nepal’s prominent pavilion showcasing a startup with a 2-stage rocket powered by sustainable hybrid propulsion rocket engines.
The inaugural edition of this flagship startup event attracted over 48,581 business visitors who engaged with 1,306 exhibitors, including prominent startups, soonicorns, and unicorns from more than 26 states and 14 countries.
It also hosted 300 incubators and accelerators, along with 200 leading angel investors, venture capitalists, and family offices.
Startup Mahakumbh unites India’s entire startup ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, incubators, accelerators, and industry leaders across various sectors.
The event is organised by FICCI, ASSOCHAM, IVCA, and Bootstrap Advisory & Foundation, with support from SIDBI, GEM, ECGC, MeitY, and DPIIT Startup India.
