NSE/BSE, Top Gainers & Top Losers Today 27 Mar 2025: Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Bank, NTPC, Tata Motors & More

Share prices of Bajaj Finserv Ltd., IndusInd Bank Ltd., NTPC Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T), and UltraTech Cement Ltd. emerged as the top gainers on Thursday.

Among the laggards were shares of HCL Technologies Ltd., Bharti Airtel Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., and Tata Motors Ltd.

The BSE Sensex ended the session with a 317-point gain, rising 0.41 per cent to close at 77,405.50, while the NSE Nifty advanced 0.45 per cent or 105 points to finish at 23,592.

The market’s resilience was further underscored by the continued interest in midcap and smallcap stocks, with both indices closing in the green

Top gainers

Bajaj Finserv led the gains, surging 3.23 per cent to ₹2,005.40, supported by strong institutional buying. IndusInd Bank followed with a 2.68 per cent rise, closing at ₹673.60.

NTPC saw a 1.88 per cent increase to ₹360.80, driven by fresh investor interest in power sector stocks. L&T climbed 1.76 per cent to ₹3,503.30, while UltraTech Cement rounded out the top five gainers with a 1.40 per cent uptick to ₹11,559.45.

Meanwhile, the dollar index was trading lower by 0.11 per cent at 104.43

Top losers

Tata Motors was the biggest laggard, tumbling 5.56 per cent to ₹668.60 amid heavy selling pressure in auto stocks. Sun Pharma declined 1.41 per cent to ₹1,733.00, while Kotak Mahindra Bank lost 0.95 per cent to close at ₹2,122.95.

Bharti Airtel slipped 0.82 per cent to ₹1,723.35, and HCL Technologies ended 0.40 per cent lower at ₹1,626.80.

The market witnessed volatility, but a strong performance from financial and infrastructure stocks helped offset early losses, leading to a positive close.
