MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0 Application Deadline Extended To July 31, 2025

New Delhi, Jul 25 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has announced an extension of the application deadline for the MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0, moving the final submission date to July 31, 2025. 

The extension provides additional time for potential participants to develop and submit their innovative solutions addressing critical challenges faced by micro, small and medium enterprises.

The hackathon initiative is designed to create a comprehensive platform where participants can ideate, design, and develop practical solutions that address pressing issues within the MSME sector. 

The program specifically targets the development of smart and sustainable business solutions that can enhance the operational efficiency and growth potential of small and medium enterprises across the country.

Eligibility for the competition is open to individuals aged between 18 and 60 years, creating an inclusive environment that welcomes both young innovators and experienced professionals. 

Participants in the hackathon have the opportunity to submit their innovative ideas through registered Host Institutes, which serve as intermediary organizations facilitating the application process. 

Selected ideas will receive substantial financial support, with the ministry offering up to Rs 15 lakh per approved concept to help transform promising ideas into viable solutions.

The MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0 represents the government’s continued efforts to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within the small business sector, which forms a crucial component of India’s economic landscape. 

By providing both financial incentives and institutional support, the program aims to accelerate the development of technology-driven solutions that can address the unique challenges faced by MSMEs in the current business environment.
