New Delhi, Mar 3 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday stated that his ‘vocal for local’ initiative is achieving its intended outcomes as Indian products establish a significant presence in international markets.

The Prime Minister emphasised that India is evolving into a center for innovation, developing cost-effective solutions that are being adopted worldwide.

“The world is keenly watching 21st-century India. People from around the globe want to visit and understand India,” Modi remarked. He further noted that the country is positioning itself as a manufacturing hub and emerging as a ‘factory of the world.’

The Prime Minister observed that India’s global role has undergone a transformation, stating, “For decades, the world referred to India as their back office. Now, India is becoming the new factory of the world. We are no longer just a workforce but instead becoming a world force.”

Modi highlighted India’s advancements in the defense sector as evidence of the nation’s engineering and technological capabilities.

“From electronics to the automobile sector, the world has witnessed India’s scale and capability. India is not only providing products to the world but is also becoming a trusted and reliable partner in the global supply chain,” he said.

The Prime Minister attributed India’s leadership across various sectors to sustained effort and methodical policy implementation.

Reflecting on his earlier economic vision, Modi stated, “A few years ago, I presented the vision of ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Local for Global’ to the nation and today, we are seeing this vision turn into reality.”

The Prime Minister pointed to diverse achievements, noting that the country is now manufacturing sophisticated technology such as semiconductors and aircraft carriers. He also mentioned that traditional Indian products including ‘makhana’ (fox nuts), millets, Ayush products, and yoga practices are gaining popularity internationally.

Modi advocated for an authentic representation of India on the global stage, asserting, “We do not need any make-up,” and emphasised the importance of communicating genuine Indian narratives to the world.

He described India as the civilisation that introduced the concept of zero to mathematics and stated that it is now becoming a hub for extensive innovation.

“India is not only innovating but also ‘Indovating,’ meaning innovating the Indian way,” Modi explained.

He concluded by stating that India is developing solutions characterised by affordability, accessibility, and adaptability, and is making these innovations available to the world without restrictions.
