Amaravati, May 2 (KNN) Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated a new MSME industrial park near Narampeta in Atmakur assembly constituency in Nellore district on Thursday. He also virtually inaugurated another 10 MSME parks across the state during the event.

Addressing the public meeting at Narampeta, the Chief Minister outlined the government’s ambitious goal to create at least one entrepreneur in every household by establishing 175 MSME industrial parks across all assembly constituencies in the state by 2028.

“In the first phase, MSME parks will be developed in 40 constituencies, with an investment exceeding 2,000 crore. By FY 2027–28, 15,000 MSME units will be established, creating 2 lakh jobs,” Naidu stated.

The Chief Minister emphasised the government’s commitment to providing employment opportunities, saying, “We are committed to providing jobs to 20 lakh people. Large-scale investments are coming into the state due to the trust in the government.”

He called upon MLAs to take responsibility for creating jobs in their constituencies and noted that even farmers can set up MSME parks, assuring necessary approvals would be provided.

Naidu explained that Nano parks can be established on 10 acres, MSME parks on 100 acres, and major parks on areas exceeding 100 acres. He also encouraged women to enter industries and become financially empowered.

The Chief Minister highlighted workforce challenges, noting that approximately 85 per cent of the state’s workforce operates in the unorganised sector, with 65 per cent dependent on agriculture.

He recalled how the late NT Rama Rao included the wheel in the TDP flag to represent workers, calling it a unique feature of the party.

Expressing concern over the previous government’s negligence that led to job losses among construction workers, Naidu pointed out that illegal sand transportation to other states had cost the state thousands of crores in revenue.

“Despite this, we are now supplying sand for free. When construction takes place, workers get jobs, wealth is created, and income flows in,” he said.

The Chief Minister also detailed recent policy reforms, including the repeal of the NALA Act, new provisions for cellars in constructions exceeding 500 square meters, and reduction of road width requirements for layouts from 12 meters to nine meters.

Additionally, he announced the construction of new hospitals with 100 beds in Guntur and Sri City, and a 30-bed facility in Kurnool to improve healthcare for workers.
