NSE/BSE Top gainers & losers intraday: Trent, Sun Pharma lead gains, IndusInd plummets 26%

Shares of Trent, Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel and BPCL topped the list of gainers among Nifty 50 pack, while IndusInd, Infosys, Bajaj Finserv, M&M and Wipro depreciated.

Realty stocks gained momentum, while IT and banking stocks experienced downturn. The broader market erased early losses to trade flat as at 12.56 pm. Sensex traded at 74,018.07 and Nifty 50 was at 22,458.35.

However, only 723 stocks advanced out of 2,807 stocks that were traded on the National Stock Exchange. IndusInd, 3i Infotech, Allcargo Gati, Dalmia Bharat and Gensol Engineering were among the 160 stocks that hit 52-week low.

Top gainers & losers

Shares of Trent soared 3.61 per cent to ₹4,972.95 on the NSE, leading the gainers. Sun Pharma stock gained 2.76 per cent to trade at ₹1,655.95.

Banking stock ICICI rose 2.26 per cent to ₹1,242.3.

Telecom major Bharti Airtel gained 1.99 per cent to ₹1,663.4 and BPCL rose 1.97 per cent to ₹261.99.

On the losing side, IndusInd shares plummeted 26 per cent to ₹670 after it reported discrepancies in derivative portfolio. Its market cap stood at ₹52,184.90 crore at the time of writing.

Infosys declined 2.91 per cent to ₹1,652. Bajaj Finserv fell 2.28 per cent to ₹1,798.3.

Auto major M&M dropped 1.76 per cent and Wipro fell 1.74 per cent, respectively.

Among the Sensex pack, shares of Chennai Petroleum and Tata Communications rallied over 7 per cent. IndusInd crashed 26 per cent, Dodla Dairy tumbled 8 per cent and Nuvama fell 6 per cent.
