Bengaluru, Jul 31 (KNN) Karnataka’s Minister for Small-Scale Industries and Public Enterprises, Sharanabasappa Darshanapur, has emphasised that establishing small-scale industries will significantly contribute to job creation and improve individual financial stability.
The Minister made these remarks while addressing attendees at the inauguration of a workshop on lean project methodologies and zero defect, zero effect (ZED) initiatives, held at a private hotel in Yadgir on Tuesday.
Darshanapur stated that the state government has been focused on removing obstacles for industrialists seeking to establish small-scale industries, noting that such efforts will help stabilise finances and generate employment opportunities.
He highlighted that as part of the government’s ongoing initiatives, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has decided to establish a dedicated Ministry for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The Minister, who also serves as the district in-charge, announced that the process for acquiring 100 acres of land near Mundaragi village in Yadgir taluk has been completed.
Additionally, approximately 50 acres have been identified in Shahapur taluk to encourage industrial establishments in the district. He noted that the department is committed to assisting industries with import-related requirements.
Deputy Commissioner Harshal Boyar assured that the district administration would provide full cooperation to support industrial growth in the region.
The event was attended by several dignitaries including Dinesh Kumar Jain, Chairman, Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Hanumadas Mundada, President, Rice Mills Association, Joint Director of the Industries Department Satish, along with other officials.
