FISME- IPFC To Host Intellectual Property Awareness Program In Meerut

Meerut, Jun 12 (KNN) The Meerut Industrial Development Forum, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises and Meerut Citizens Forum, will host an Intellectual Property Awareness Program on Sunday, June 15.

The event is being organised through FISME-IPFC (Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre) under the auspices of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.

The program will feature three distinguished speakers who will address various aspects of intellectual property rights and their significance for businesses and academic institutions.

IPR Expert Pooja Kumar, Founder of Innove Intellects LLP, will share her expertise on intellectual property matters. Prof. Sanjeev K. Sharma, Faculty Member in Political Science, CCS University, Meerut, will provide insights from an academic perspective.

Prof. R. K. Soni, Head of the Department of Chemistry, CCS University, Meerut, will contribute his specialized knowledge to the discussion.

The program aims to enhance understanding of intellectual property rights among entrepreneurs, students, and professionals in the region.

The FISME-IPFC represents a significant initiative to support MSMEs in India by providing critical financial support and guidance to navigate the complexities of intellectual property rights.

The financial support includes up to Rs 5 lakh for foreign patents, Rs 1 lakh for domestic patents, Rs 2 lakh for Geographical Indications registration, Rs 0.15 lakh for design registration, and Rs 0.10 lakh for trademark registration.

This initiative is designed to ease the financial burden on MSMEs and encourage innovation by enabling them to pursue IPR protection without financial strain.

The event coordination is being handled by Girish Kumar, President the Meerut Industrial Development Forum, with additional support from Archit Tripathi, Deputy Director, FISME IPFC.
