The shares of ACME Solar Holdings Ltd were trading at ₹220.24 up by ₹7.84 or 3.69 per cent on the NSE today at 10.10 am.
ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has commissioned the first phase of its ACME Sikar Solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, the company announced. The 52.5 MW installation represents the initial phase of what will eventually be a 300 MW solar project to be completed in stages.
The commissioning increases ACME Solar’s total operational capacity from 2,540 MW to 2,592.5 MW. The project, strategically positioned in one of India’s highest solar irradiation zones, is expected to contribute significantly to the country’s renewable energy objectives.
Spanning approximately 1,300 acres, the ACME Sikar Solar project will evacuate power to the Bikaner-II grid through a dedicated 220 kV transmission line. The project, financed by PFC Limited, is projected to generate about 780 million units of clean energy annually once fully operational.
According to the company, power generated from the project will be sold on merchant basis through power exchanges, with allocation based on optimal commercial utilization.
ACME Solar Holdings describes itself as a leading integrated renewable energy player with a diversified portfolio of 6,970 MW across solar, wind, FDRE, and hybrid solutions. Following this commissioning, the company’s operational capacity stands at 2,592.5 MW, with an additional 4,377.5 MW in various implementation stages. The company handles end-to-end development and operations, managing projects through its in-house EPC and O&M divisions.
