Union Bank Hosts Mega MSME Outreach Camp in Guntur, Disburses Rs 100 Crore in Loans

Guntur, Apr 29 (KNN) Union Bank of India’s Regional Office in Guntur organised a “Mega MSME Outreach Camp” on Monday, aimed at empowering small borrowers and fostering greater financial inclusion.

The event was marked by the presence of Renu Nair, General Manager of Union Bank of India, who attended as the chief guest.

During the program, the bank disbursed loans totalling Rs 100 crore to eligible micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) beneficiaries.

Addressing the gathering, Nair congratulated the loan recipients and emphasized the importance of self-reliance and entrepreneurship in building a resilient economy. “Such initiatives not only support business growth at the grassroots level but also drive sustainable development,” she stated.

She reiterated Union Bank’s commitment to nurturing local businesses and promoting inclusive banking services across underserved sectors. The camp facilitated financial literacy sessions, loan assistance, and guidance for budding entrepreneurs.

The outreach event witnessed enthusiastic participation from MSME owners and first-time borrowers, who expressed appreciation for the bank’s proactive approach.

Many beneficiaries shared how the timely financial assistance would help expand their businesses and generate employment opportunities.

The camp concluded on a positive note, with Union Bank officials assuring continued support for community development and future outreach programs.
