TCS Q4 Results: Headcount rises 625 QoQ despite a 13.3% attrition rate in last 1 year

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reported an attrition rate of 13.3 percent over the last twelve months for the quarter ended March FY25. Despite this, the IT major saw a net addition of 6,433 employees during the quarter, taking its total headcount to 607,979. This marks a steady increase from 601,546 in Q4 FY24 and a quarter-on-quarter rise of 625 from the December 2024 quarter figure of 607,354.

The company’s workforce continues to reflect strong diversity, with women making up 35.2 percent of the employee base spread across 152 countries. In terms of upskilling, TCS employees completed 56 million learning hours and acquired 5.2 million new competencies during FY25.
